Guava takes the security of your assets very seriously, and that reflects in the amount of time it takes to confirm the deposit of any digital asset in our supported wallets. A deposit of digital asset is required to go through a prescribed number of confirmations before it is credited to your wallet.
Confirmations are the number of times a digital asset network must confirm a transaction before it can be considered valid. When a new transaction is sent to the network, the miners include it in a block after a wait. After the transaction is added to a block, the transaction is said to have received one confirmation. With each new block the transaction is added to, the number of confirmations increases.
Guava doesn't determine the confirmation duration, and it varies due to the design nature of each digital asset, conditions of the network and mining process.
Guava confirmations times
Confirmation times vary based on the various factors stated above. However, the typical estimated times are indicated below.
- Bitcoin: ~60 minutes (6 confirmations required)
- Ripple (XRP): Almost instant (2 confirmations required)
- Ether (ETH): ~30 minutes (20 confirmations required)
